  1. Adam, although I do not know you and never had the pleasure of meeting your sweet wife, Lori, I feel as if I have gotten to know you a bit through the facebook postings of the friends we have in common. My heart goes out to you and your family tonight, I am so sorry for your loss, words cannot express. I pray tonight, as I know so many others are as well, for peace to you and your beautiful children, and for all who lived Lori and whose lives she has touched. He reach is far and wide and her story of strength and live will inspire many for years to come. God bless you all.

  2. Hello Adam, this is Laura Ayres, Jennifer's sister.
There are no words. I was so shocked to hear from Jen that things were not BETTER for Lori; but, this news that she is gone is just beyond comprehension. I cannot imagine how you are feeling right now.
Adam, you and the kids are in my prayers and my thoughts. If there is anything anyone in our family can do for you, all you need to do is ask us.

  3. Dr Barta, we all love you and are praying for you and your family. Lori was an amazing person. I got to know her a little bit more during the last month of residency. I'll always remember her for her kind smile, twinkle in her eyes, her great sense of fashion and style, her passion for children with special needs. I don't understand why this happened to such a wonderful family. I read Lori's journal and cried multiple times. It doesn't seem fair. Why take a mother away from her young children. We are all in shock. We'll continue to pray for your family. May God give peace to your heart and courage to raise your kids. love you all always.

  4. Hi Dr. Barta, I just wanted you to know I'm praying for you, your beautiful daughters and everyone that loved your wife. Without a shadow of a doubt this is a difficult time and no one can truly find words to console your thoughts, heart or soul. I leave you, this scripture and I pray you will reflect on it and allow it to strengthen you throughout your time to come.
    Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
